Strictly Strange 2008 kicks off in Grand Junction, Colorado
So instead of kicking the tour off in Denver Colorado like they usually do, they're ending it in Denver, but starting it in Grand Junction. It's only a 4 hour drive from Denver, so why not go to the opening and closing shows on this tour? This was by far the best tour Strange Music has put on so far. I'm not a huge fan of the rock bands usually so it was great just having Strange Music all night. Tech Krizz and Kutt were on stage for almost 2 hours and put on their best show so far.
The lineup was Black P, Grave Plott, Skatterman and Snug Brim, Prozak then Tech N9ne Krizz Kaliko and Kutt Calhoun! Krizz and Kutt did 5 or 6 songs off their albums so they each had a mini-set inside Tech's set. And if you think you don't like Bunk Rock Bitch, you'll probably love it after you see it live.
The set itself was like a back-alley. 2 spray-painted brick walls with all the Strange Music artists on it, two dumpsters with smoke / fire coming out, and a bench in the back. It was like a chill-out place for homeless people. The giant Strange King Throne wasn't there on this tour.
Skatter and Snug opened with Riot Maker, they did Block Party, I'm That Nigga and more.
Tech of course put one another hell of a show, but he definitely out-did himself this time. They did so many songs I can't remember all of them (even after trying many times) so feel free to leave a comment letting me know what I missed.
Everybody Move, One Good Time, Riot Maker, Come Gangsta, Cry Baby, Psycho Bitch, Psycho Bitch 2 with Liquid Assassin, Like Yeah, Twisted, Now It's On, The Waitress, Gangsta Shap, Einstein, Sinister Tech, No Can Do, Industry is Punks, Im a Playa, 7 Words, Midwest Choppers, Anxiety, Do It Like I Do It, Bunk Rock Bitch, Colors, Speed, Smilin'Faces.
There were definitely more but again, they did so many it's hard to remember them all..
I couldn't get any pictures at this venue because they said only pictures, and my camera can do video so they denied me. But I'm sure you'll see pictures of this tour as other people definitely got some nice pics, and I'll post them up here when I can.
At the merchandise booth, they had a few new Tech N9ne shirts a few new Kutt Calhoun shits and a couple new Krizz Kaliko shirts. They also had S&S (Skatter and Snug) shirts. Three new Tech N9ne hats (same design, different colors) and a Strictly Strange Tour 2008 shirt.
That's about it, the whole thing lasted about 4 hours and was worth every single dollar. If you don't have tickets yet, I suggest you snatch them up now, while there still available.
